Hi
I have recently finished putting a new site together and it's taken about 4-5 months, but it is finally indexed, or most of it anyway. I think I've got all the Search Engine Optimization basics covered, here's some of the things I have done: 1. Built the site for Search Engine Optimization friendly URL's 2. Made the whole site crawlable. 3. Constructed the site (custom built a CMS) in such a way that promotes having unique, individual title tags for each page. 4. Created a linking structure within the site to maximise internal linking, hopefully without looking like spam. 5. Submitted to just about all the vilesilencer directories. So far I have no.1 spot on MSN for one search, a page one listing on Google for the same search and about page 17 on Yahoo. The thing is it is for a term that I didn't really expect to rank highly, and one that I was really targeting isn't ranking at all. If anyone wants to have a look at this site I'd be more than happy to get some opinions on how it is put together. PM me and I'll flick you the URL. I'd rather keep the URL private for now, at least I can't get accused of spamming this forum! Cheers, thanks. Alexa |
