Well I'm pretty new here and thought I would introduce myself by offering to make a mini-contest for everyone. Poetry really interests me therefore this is going to be a poetry contest. This contest is going to be about making a poem that involves the future and what you think is going to happen in the world. No more than 400 words is needed. The first 10 people to post that they are interested in doing this will get the position. You will have 4 days to pm me or any of the other mods your poem and then once all have been received I will make a poll and the readers/viewers can vote on which poem they like the best. All 10 entries will receive a feature article on my blog Sourfizz latest news - Blog About Everything. You can make the article that you want posted on my blog about anything even if it advertises your site and this truly is a great prize just for being a participant because your article will get a lot of exposure due to it being a high authority blog. As for what the winner will receive that will be decided later on but rest assured that it will be something great. So lets get started and let your inner shakespeare take over :P

It was written from the perspective of a cat:

I Purr - by Gorgeous

When the Apes aren’t around,
and the birds are on the ground, I purr.

When I take a long nap,
then have a big crap, I purr.

When treats are around,
and the dog is underground, I purr.

When I decapitate mice,
and I have no lice, I purr.

When my food dish is full,
and the Apes aren’t spewing bull, I purr.

When the dog is sick,
and I perform my butt lick, I purr.

When the Apes don’t get along,
even when the Big Haired Wife wears a thong, I purr.

When I have a lazy life,
without need for a wife, I purr.

When a rhyming post is crap,
but at least it’s not RAP, I purr.

I love poetry, well I used to anyway. I was a writer, published and everything.
I've had writer's block for the longest time though. Maybe I'll enter an old one later.

I'm great with poems my self. Not so much with the meaning but rather with the vibe my poem gives out. Either way I don't think the creator (me) is allowed to enter. Still looking for some entries people :P

Lol that was really funny I can imagine a cat acting like that. You should be allowed to participate you are the best entry so far.

StarLab that is an amazing poem. Its funny. Even if there were at least a hundred entries so far your poem would have definitely stood out. Good work!
