How do you submit to directories?
Do you do it manually or automated? I think automated submissions are risky as they can be seen as spam, is this true?

I know the directories will pick you up automatically but I know you can submit as I've done this on Google, MSN and Yahoo and do believe it got my blogs indexed sooner. I did have to check turing numbers when doing it manually.

If I bother to submit at all then i will manually submit to the larger directories and search engines.

well it depends on the directories,Mean if you are going to submit your site to an famouse directory then they will do both as MANUAL and AUTO and they will also never spam.And most of the directories currently submiting links auto by using PHPLD.so first you have to know about the directorie's reputation then go on submioting site.Hope you got my points.

I just submit website to largest search engines and some good ranking directories realted to my topic manually. Then it get listed in most of other serach engines and major directories.

I does it manually. But now I cam across of couples of good auto-submitter software and hope to use them then self labor.

The auto submitter doesn't work well for me. I prefer hiring someone for directory submission work. Save times and energy at very low expense.
